Our Story: Student-led, Community-Focused
Grit & Grind was founded by Porter Hansen, a young entrepreneur who began his first job at the age of 8, delivering newspapers. By the time he was 12, Porter had launched Grit & Grind as a residential lawn service in his community. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality service quickly grew the business into what it is today— a thriving cleaning service that employs over 12 local high school students and recent graduates.
We are proud to be a student-led business that provides valuable work experience for young people in the Kootenay region. Our team is dedicated, hardworking, and trained to the highest standards, ensuring every job is completed with care and precision.
